Armor in XCOM 2 can vary and some Classes are more aligned with certain types than others. Armor can be upgraded in the Proving Ground. Some pieces of armor must be researched and then built before equipping on your soldiers. Where applicable, respective projects will be listed on the following tables.
Utility Items such as the Hazmat Vest, Hellweave, Nanoscale Vest, Plated Vest and Stasis Vest can be combined with the armor found below.
